  • Engage in international and regional partnerships to expand and improve access to school meals, including through climate‑smart, homegrown school meal initiatives in East Africa between 2024-2027.
  • Allocate USD 133 million (DKK 854 million) in the Finance Act 2025 for a national pilot scheme on school meals (2025–2028), involving 191 schools to test and develop lunch models.
  • Collect and share knowledge and experiences from the pilot scheme on organizing school meals and their impact on students’ health, learning, and well-being.
  • Update dietary guidelines for school meals in line with Nordic Nutrition Recommendations (NNR2023) and Danish official guidelines to promote healthy and climate‑friendly meals.
